Yeah, after reading up on both since the lottery I like nico better. Still great to get either.

Nico needs to fill out still, but Patrick has a chance to play in the NHL next year.

Either one is fine with me. But i would prefer nico cus he can get buckets!

Nolan is a better prospect if he can stay healthy. What would Philly sports be without adding that disclaimer?

Nolan Patrick is better imo, NHL.com did a poll recently among scouts and he was 9-5 over Nico. Either would be great though.

I was on the Nico train, but Patrick is fine too. I just think Nico is a better fit for the way the game is moving. Patrick seems more like that lumbering, big centerman. Still not a bad piece to have because he does seem to have powerful strides and good skating ability, but I think Nico is the better creator and that that's something they desperately need.

Oh boy. Some Vancouver talk show host just posted this. Guy, seems somewhat legit. If Flyers don't love Nolan Patrick maybe there is a little truth to this. If we see AMac announced as a Golden Knight tonight I'll believe it.

Not sure if this is out there, but rumblings that #VegasGoldenKnights could acquire #2 overall pick from #Flyers via their expansion bounty

Would be a move from #6 to #2 for Vegas and could involve other draft picks/players the #GoldenKnights acquire in the expansion draft.

That's been floating around for a few days. They should fire Hextall before he gets back to Philly if he does it.

I'd be so fucking pissed if they traded this pick with a potential franchise forward falling into their laps

I wouldn't hate it if it means they take big Mac AND send us a player we really want from another team. Especially if it is a Goalie that is young and cheap.

Now really isn't the time to question Hextall. If they can get a starting Goalie of the future, and move back 4 picks AND dump the Mac contract so they can sign free agents, then it is worth considering. Neither one of these 2 guys are Crosby level/generational talents.

What if it is #2 and Big Mac for #6, Mrazek and another late 1st that they get from another team like Columbus? That would be hard to say no to. Sub out Mrazek for whatever young goalie you like best.

The amac contract isn't that bad. To trade out of #2 to get rid of it, yikes.

Moving back 4 picks to get a franchise goalie isn't bad if they feel one of these young guys is franchise goalie. Still can get a pretty good player at #6.

Don't believe another first would be involved....unless the deal doesn't involve the salary dump.

So it would be 6 and a young/cheap goalie for 2 and them taking AMac from us tonight? Vegas would be getting the face of their franchise so, unless the goalie is a stud (which, who could that even be), seems like we should be getting more. At the very least, giving them another higher priced, replaceable player like Read.

Mrazek is fine, but they protected jimmy howard over him. No way I'm giving up nico/Patrick for him. The one thing this team desperately needed was a young center. They got the break of the decade to move up to get one. What a fuck up it would be to waste it.

It doesn't even need to be a Goalie, what about someone like Matt Dumba, 22 years old. We don't know about the deals in place but Dumba would be nice.
