I can't remember. I think you're right. We just signed Pierre, and while he is pretty pointless, I don't think it was for any ridiculous amount of money. Also no one unprotected was worth protecting outside of possibly Raffl. If we were part of the bounty/hostage situation and we gave up something more than a late round draft pick it was dumb (unless there is more).

Yep and Bellmare has enough value that you wouldn't have to pay for them to take him. Have to give Hextall credit, they didn't have a player unprotected that would hurt to lose. I hope they give Laughton the chance to be the 4th line center and not sign a Boyd Gordon type.
