Yeah, but they stopped hosting the tournament in New Jersey because sports betting is legal. They already make a shitload off the tournament regardless of where it's played.
Now the CFP is run by the conferences, so they don't have to follow those rules.

They had a tournament at the Mandalay Bay last year as a test run. It's been in the works to get the rule changed for the last year and a half.
Expect it to change.
