Didn't think we needed to put the miscellany in the week threads. I could be wrong.

The Raiders were approved for $750m public funding for Vegas stadium.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

Going to a special session up north for a legislature vote. Should be real soon. After that then it's the Raiders turn in January.

Goff may be sat the whole year. I don't know if this is an indictment on him, the coaching staff, or both.

it wasn't that long ago that it was considered a luxury to give these guys a year on the bench, right? and I assume their line sucks? I'm glad the Eagles are starting Wentz but it seems like a reasonable alternate strategy to be patient

No-one would be overly bothered about Goff sitting for the year if both scouts/pundits hadn't proclaimed him the most pro ready QB and the Rams org hadn't hyped him up as a starter from draft night on.

Yea I guess that's true. I don't feel like looking it up, but who was the last first rounder to not play their first year? Rodgers?

Actually I did look it up, 2011 with Jake Locker.

I think it's just spin, like the Eagles saying Wentz would benefit from sitting because of Bradford, and that he'll be in there by mid season.

You only really benefit from sitting if you're wildly unprepared for the NFL or there's a clearly better option, which is rarely the case for a top-five pick.

Yea, there were a couple of first rounders who appeared like the team didn't want them to start in Y1, but due to injuries and what not they got some time.
