philadelphia has the most bipolar fans in the world. one minute you suck, the next minute you are going to win it all. I don't know if it is the press and WIP that created that environment or the inverse, but it is true. Everyone here is of course very rational, but how long would it take for the calls for foles, who won the team's only super bowl, playing a near perfect game. i think the players and the staff can handle it well, but there's a reason you just can't have anything nice in philly. like everything, there are pros and cons to almost every decision, and i definitely think this is a factor in the decision making process, unfortunately.

The parade was nice.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Nick Foles needs a statue!!

Nick Foles did the inprobable. He brought the city of Philadelphia a Super Bowl. Now, we as Eagles fans, should do something for him. This is to get Big D*** Nick a statue at the Linc. He gave us something we have been craving since 1960. Now it’s time to give back

I’m pro statue. I’m also pro Lurie paying for it.

Or it’d be fun to put up a statue of him throwing the ball and another of him catching it.

U realize he forever changed the course of crappy mass generated sports take discourse too. Next time someone is dropping takes about whether cousins or Alex Smith or colt mccoy IV is a "SB caliber QB" one of the gas bags will be obligated to mention folez

I could easily see Foles, in the right situation, having 5-7 very productive years and maybe even returning to and winning the SB. If he does that he will be in the HOF conversation.

I could also see Foles never again coming close to matching the glory of the past month.

That is the magic of Nick Foles: he is a blank slate onto which you can project all of your hopes and fears.

i still submit both he and carson care more about their faith and philly and winning than breaking the bank when it comes time.

There was a Bissinger article a few years ago that said Foles came from the wealthiest family of any NFL player or something.

His dad is a very successful restaurant-er, with a number of them in Arizona. He sold a couple to Darden for about $60M.

Super Bowl champs!!!

Been a minute since I’ve posted- might be in everyone’s best interest if I keep that way. Jeltzy gets quiet and the Birds win Bowls.

But I do want to chime in on the Foles chatter. I can’t believe there is a sentiment that would be opposed to dealing him. I mean, I can. Dude just won the SB MVP and all.

But no one is convincing me that the Birds are worse off with Carson at QB. And I also believe he makes it back from the injury.

Not sure it was mentioned here, but there is a deadline in Foles contract that locks in his $ in mid-March. So if Foles is dealt, it’s got to be sooner rather than later.

I take a first round pick for him. Liking Arizona’s #1 (pick 15). Grab the best player available there, and then deal our first for a package of day two picks.

What day you, BSG?

Considering Foles has fulfilled our hopes and quelled our fears, I think your description more accurately describes Wentz.

I just heard a rumor they're talking with Foles about an extension. Something like 3/27 with 16.5MM guaranteed. Just an Eagles fan I bumped into, so take it FWIW.
