he had pretty good stats going before getting hurt last year. he has at least one elite skillset that chip can utilize and win a game with. foles doesnt. even he could play like less of a donkey right now

I am not a Foles fan but I'm taking him over Vick. And besides, that one skill set you're talking about results with him getting hurt every couple weeks.

I want to see Sanchez play.

I'm just not willing to forget three years of Mark Sanchez being one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the NFL because of a couple games in the preseason of him tuning up guys who are waiting for calls from the Arena League right now. If it happens because Foles gets hurt, fine, but he's not nearly bad enough right now where I'm willing to rock a boat that's 5-2.

One of the big knocks against Vick was for his turnovers, in 7 games (6 starts) under chip he had 3 int and 2 lost fumbles.

I dunno, I feel like Foles just isn't it, it was the right call to start the year with him and let him prove it, but he's just not a guy worth commiting to long term. If he's in good situation, and the throws that he can make are there for him, he can rip you apart, but a decent defensive game plan can really clinic his effectiveness.

I honestly cannot believe people are calling for Mark Sanchez. It really blows my mind.

9 ints in 7 games, 12 turnovers overall for Foles. I feel like people aren't really honestly evaluating how awful Foles has been. I think the struggle has a lot to do with his limited tools, at the very least, Sanchez has more natural talent. He might also stink but it would be hard to be any worse than Foles.

I'm not even really calling for Sanchez, just stating that he isn't really a significant dropoff from Foles. Really an indictment on Foles more than anything.
Continued success, thanks for comin' on the show!

For reference, Mark Sanchez had 86 turnovers in 62 career games. He had a higher Interception % in 3 of his 4 seasons than Foles 3.0% this season.

Yeah, the turnover argument would hold a lot more water with me if the alternative wasn't Mark Sanchez, whose most famous moment in the league is running into his own lineman's ass and fumbling.

If this team was really struggling, and had nothing to lose, I'd be OK with it. But even with Foles playing shitty, this team is 5-2, and we have seen Foles play much better than this. If he can find a happy medium, he's fine to hold us over for the time being until we can find a real solution to the position.

I am not saying Sanchez is the franchise QB of the future. Just positive Foles is not. Comparing turnover rates between the two is ridiculous. The Jets offense back then/Eagles offense now skews the numbers so absurdly.

Maybe next year the Eagles could have Mike Glennon in the fold. He is the most Nick Foles like QB in the league (I like Glennon for what he is). The Bucs make as many bad plays as the Birds, but their record looks like it. The line in Tampa looks like Orange Cones set up. The Tampa unfaithful are hoping to get Jameis Winston. Then again, the Birds should hope to get him too.

he had a ton of time in the pocket today. they were all out blitzing today and still had time. he threw off his back foot so many times for no reason today.

YES, Favre-syndrome for no reason at all

I think I'm over Foles. I thought he could be Flacco. But he's not. Those ridiculous moon shots where he throws way too much air. The continued passing awkwardly off his back foot, and just not getting it done when it has to be done. He doesn't have the zip on the ball or accuracy.

I don't know what they can do? I don't see how they can find a star QBof-the-future? We don't draft high enough, nor do we want to wait 2-3 years for a rookie to develop and master the system and the NFL speed, game, situations, defensive alignments.

Foles is only good enough - maybe - if you have an elite D, or a massively dominant running game. Last year we did. And thus, he was able with some babip that was favorable pull a Mark Fidryich kind of season. But this was a brutal battle and he choked liked a mo-fo. I credit him for playing hard and trying to get back up and get er done, but he doesn't have the arm. He just doesn't and he's starting to feel like a liability. I blame this loss on Foles.

Cardinals had 1 good drive, and 2 big plays. If we had Brees, Rogers, etc... we would have likely pulled this tough game out.

Ummm...no shit. High expectations, PtK has. Not too many teams, in the history of the NFL, have Brees, Rogers, etc tye QBs.
