Super Bowl MVP QB Nick Foles

The line was fine today, he wasn't sacked once and they ran the ball well, he just has happy feet and always is throwing off his back foot.

Several really good QBs have been turnover prone early in their careers (e.g. Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, etc.), but many have not. So, should we give up on him? Probably not. Should we give him an extension? NO FUCKING WAY.

I can't see Chip sticking long term with a QB who has a weak arm with accuracy issues and can't run. Maybe out of necessity but once Chip finds his guy, Foles is probably gone.

Mid-tier quarterback who you can win with, but you can also upgrade from. Not somebody I'd ever invest in long-term, but not somebody who I'd cast aside without a better option already in place.

Also, Mark Sanchez was given 4 full seasons as a starter and none of them were as good as Foles THIS season. Going to him means punting on 2014.

Yeah don't want an Andy Dalton or Jay Cutler situation.

Comparing Sanchez and his offense with the Jets to what Foles is running is apples to oranges.

I honestly think Mike Glennon would put up Foles numbers in this offense.

I feel like Chip's offense is so simple to learn and well coached/executed that all we need Nick to do is NOT be a complete asshole on any given night. And he's been a real asshole this season so far

I could live with the terrible throws if he had any arm strength to speak of but he doesn't even realize his limitations

Sanchez's performance was mediocre by 1995 season standards. He was downright awful guys...

In terms of natural talent he has to be in the bottom tier of starting qb's. Now that defenses seem to have adjusted to him/ eagles scheme, his otherworldly decision making that everyone marveled at seems laughable. I don't think I've seen any nfl QB make the decisions that he's made this year. I feel like he's gotten pretty lucky too, could very easily be around 12-13 int's

There is not a better option on the roster right now. But he's close to seeing the prospect of a big extension off the table, and unless he goes off down the stretch, I'd be surprised if he's the clear cut, not even a question starter next summer.

Today might have been the worst. The shoulder can't be bothering him anymore, or at least not as much, and he had plenty of time on most plays. His problem last year was holding onto it too long and taking unnecessary sacks; I wonder if he's just horribly overcompensated.

Truth Woody. Truth.

I just don't see Foles getting better. He had some luck and a record rushing season to help him last year. SMall sample size. But nothing he's done this year looks like he took any steps forwards. And remember he had some wonky throws last year that COULD have been picked he lucked out often.

Just don't know what options they have?

Would Rams trade Bradford or Austin Davis? Are those upgrades? I doubt Andy can win SB with Alex Smith, but I'd take Smith over Foles now because Smith can run and he's smart. His accuracy isn't much worse than nick. Every time I see Nick crank one of those moon shots I close my eyes in fear.

They won't bench him, they're 5-2, and it would cause the city and local media to explode. Not worth the distractions. If they start losing, then yeah.
