I don't think Wentz is even six inches.

It hasn't even been 48 hours and we already have a qb controversy brewing.

I'm with you (no surprise) but if Arizona called and offered 15 for Foles/32, you have to strongly consider that.

Not only the compensation but it would help with the salary cap and Sudfeld can probably manage the offense if Wentz is out a few games.

Trade him just to move UP without even getting an extra pick? Pass.

We wait half a century for a qb to lead us to a Super Bowl win and now we can’t wait to trade him away.

Well, part of me would love for him to stay, but I think it’s only fair to the guy to let him have a chance to be the starter somewhere if he wants, unfortunately that is not going to be here. If he is content to be the backup through 2018, hey, god love him.

Honestly Foles being the starter outside of the first few games next year means something bad longer term about Wentz, so his future with the Eagles is only 1 more year at the most.

I’d take another 1 year like this 1 year. And if there‘s “something bad longer term about Wentz,” Foles’ future with the Eagles might be longer than 1 year.

After actually sleeping last night, I'm with you JFLNYC. There's absolutely no way you trade Foles unless you get a monster offer. Peter King suggested he'd only do it for two #1's and a backup QB. Off subject, I hate Peter King's face. Let's say Wentz's rehab goes perfectly and he's ready for week 1. Week 7, he throws a pass from the pocket and his hand hits another players helmet. The Eagles are 5-2 but Wentz is out 6 weeks. We need more than Sudfeld to keep us heading towards home-field advantage again.

Someone had mentioned this before.

If Wentz is on schedule and they feel good about him being ready near the beginning of the season, they should ask Nick if he is ok being the backup or if he wants the chance to start somewhere. That answer is going to drive what you should do as well as what kind of offers you get.

:h: BDN/FF, but that is an offer yo would have to take. good thing that no one in thier right mind is offering, so there is no decision to make. Foles gets to be the King of Philadelphia. Free food and drink for life, a statue in his honor of him catching the Philly Special, and his number retired. He can have all that as a backup to Wentz for as long as he is able to play. When his playing days are done, he can get a job with the Club doing something meaningless.

That's ludicrous, especially when you factor in the $2.2M - $4M cap savings next year.

But, like all things Eagles at the moment, I really, blissfully dgaf....

After actually sleeping last night, I'm with you JFLNYC. There's absolutely no way you trade Foles unless you get a monster offer. Peter King suggested he'd only do it for two #1's and a backup QB. The Eagles are 5-2 but Wentz is out 6 weeks. We need more than Sudfeld to keep us heading towards home-field advantage again.

They can use the savings from Foles to sign another backup QB if they want, and coming off this year, they might be able to get somebody looking to rebuild value really cheap. With a Super Bowl team, guys are gonna start getting expensive real quick, so it'd be really nice to have a couple extra cheap draft picks lying around. Also good for Howie's aggressiveness.

That 2 firsts thing is crazy. Give me a decent second next year and a conditional mid-round pick that gets higher if the team makes the playoffs and I pull the trigger. I don't move him just to move him though, unless he goes to them quietly and says "hey, my value's never going to be higher and I don't really want to spend this whole year on the bench," which would be totally understandable. Set a reasonable but high price and if somebody meets it, great. If not, cool, you keep Foles for a year and you've got a nice luxury. Plus, you could always hold onto him for a possible Bradford situation in camp, where you'll have a better idea of where Wentz is on his return timeline.

Would you take the trade package the Skins gave for Alex Smith or would you need more?
