He would obviously get paid better to be a starter, but howie has already demonstrated his ability to pay a premium for the backup qb position , which obviously paid off. Being a backup is not a bad gig and for some of the reasons mentioned it still may be an attractive career move.
Now what happens when wentz loses that first game, or hell, throws an interception? This is Philadelphia we are talking about. Between the hacks in the media, WIP to a fickle fan base, can a scenario where you can move forward with both, even if they are more than amicable to the situation, truly be plausible?
