Reading about the Ian Kinsler trade just reminded me that Prince Fielder is owed $24 million a year through 2020.

Yikes. He was very fat. But he was really good from age 22-31. He was lousy at age 32 and then he was done. He was done in 2017.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

Prince hit the longest homer I seen in person off Moyer in 2010 in Milwaukee

Think that's still the worst pitch I've ever seen in my life. I used to know where the video was but can't find it now

Here's where it went down: viewtopic.php_f=13&t=11185&hilit=fielder&start=20.html

Vaguely remember it being like, mid 80s with no movement, middle in to a lefty pull hitter.

Sinker? more like stinker am I right?

edit: I found the mlb.com boxscore, no video of the HR tho

I’d guess insurance is paying that at least.

Sounds like insurance and the tigers are paying about half.

Eventually Cabrera will most likely have signed both the very best and very worst 7 year contracts ever.

The Padres will owe three players (Hosmer, Wil Myers and Machado) over $75 million next year. They produced at total of 2.4 WAR, with Machado being the only positive one.
