The scoreboard said the game would resume no sooner than 8PM tomorrow. Which thanks to Obama, means like 9:00 or something.

THAT'S IT I'm voting Republican, I've seen the light!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About time something shook you out of your daze.

Obama's on the phone to Selig right now... "all according to plan, eh Buddy! I told you ACORN could arrange anything..."

BILDERBURG ON LINE 3, MS. BETZ!

That's PTK's line. You do the gay Democrat part, I'm doing the butch Republican, PTK does the tin foil hat guy... this is what happens when you don't make it to the read through!

You all should just move in with PtK and get group-gay-married already.

Well, I'm going to go back to work, since I have no clue when I'll come home tomorrow (or Wednesday).

How long have you been a Philadelphia sports fan?

See, these are the coping skills I'm talking about, don't start TV, you've got more testosterone than that.

I'm coping. And we're gonna win.

This doesn't surprise me at all. MLB wouldn't allow the deciding game of any WS to be rain shortened.

That said, I think the Phils will be more relaxed playing in a late inning tie game. It seems they were almost wanting to run the clock out up 2-1 and they weren't playing well as a result. Now they can cut it loose a little bit knowing the game is still in their favor at home.

Wishful thinking? Maybe, but I believe this.

You can't end a World Series because of rain.

Then the game should have been suspended after the bottom of the 5th, since the Rules of Baseball can be amended by Selig at any time.

Exactly, why would he wait, unless he has a thing for debacles? He should use his supreme authority to take away that last run and have the teams play the last half-inning over because they were played in unplayable weather conditions. But that would make too much sense.

WAIT WHAT

Honestly, I think that'd be a good idea.

Okay, someone please tell me what the difference is suspended to rain delay perhaps up to 24 hours later, and the game being suspended? What am I missing here?

The Obama half hour commercial is on Wednesday, not Tuesday. Tomorrow=Tuesday
They won't say when it will start because they are afraid of rain tomorrow night.

yeah i think i was confused about some of the negativity about this situation in here before. it was people being mad that we didnt win a rain shortened game? like they would have gone into a delay with us up 2-1 and then just announced over the PA system "game is called, phillies win the world series. goodnight."???

or i guess some very fair negativity that the game was even started in the first place tonight.

like i said, this is weird, and historic, and bizarre, and im rolling with it.

I feel like the umps at this presser need black leather daddy outfits, and the mustached guy should have a butch collar with a leash held by the other ump.

Bud made the rule up. Said its "his judgement." A reporter called him on it. The most ridiculous part was that he was being theatrical earlier, reading aloud from his rulebook. Now he's MAKING UP RULES. This is a disgrace.
Reporters asking umpires about "different interpretation of rain delay rule" and if it was conveyed prior to the game. God, this is awful.
