Longoria and Pena are both bright, stand-up guys, I'll give them that.

Tampa Tribune article

Of the 42 teams in World Series history that have faced the deficit the Rays do right now, only six have come back to win it all – most recently the 1985 Royals.

was talking about the CSN postgame replay which should be coming up around 1am. Steve Bucci is at some bar and a woman in red sitting on someone's shoulders was bouncing up and down for the camera....

In the meantime, here's more reading material: Zolecki's article

Howard at the podium talking about he and JRoll wanted to change how this franchise is portrayed.

Question: I've heard they've had a big screen set up outside the Park? Is that true? Would just heading down to the Park tomorrow be a good idea if I want to actually watch the game?

I didn't get that impression. They seem to be talking like they have after every playoff win. Very happy, giving good happy quotes, giving thanks, and making sure to point out that there is more work to be done. The bedlam comment meant that the ballpark will be filled, loud, and rocking tomorrow night.

Thread's not over yet.

Calvinball is getting his dad to buy a couple of $2000 tickets on stubhub. Drunk 50 year old guys do that kind of thing.

I couldn't do that to him. It is just wrong. He was really upset after the game. My Mom came down and was pretty mad at him for constantly yelling. I was leaving to go back to my home and he looked like he had teared up outside. I think he is really upset that he can't take me and my brother to a world series game like his dad did with him.

Seriously, they better be all business tomorrow. Don't want to go back to Tampa. That would be bad.

I qouted the wrong thing. It was supposed to be the post about tricking my dad in to buying tickets off stub hub.

I fixed it now

AP:

If the Phillies win Monday, it would mark the first time the Series has gone five straight years without reaching a Game 6. The only other four-year stretch without a Game 6 was 1913-16.
