Patti LaBelle singing the national anthem

Jim Thome is at the game

Seems to be a consensus on local TV and radio that if the Phils win this one, the series ends tomorrow night. Make it so.

Cliff Floyd has been removed from the Rays' World Series roster after injuring his shoulder running the bases in Game 2 against the Phillies.
Eric Hinske takes his spot, which makes for a fine trade. Hinske hit righties better than Floyd did this year, and he also offers some flexibility on defense. Ideally, Hinske would start at DH once the Rays return home. However, Willy Aybar will probably be the choice. Floyd was 4-for-18 with a homer, two RBI and a 7/0 K/BB ratio in the postseason.

Maybe this wasn't such a great idea with an injured shoulder.

Tampa Bay Rays' Carlos Pena (L) and Cliff Floyd celebrate a 4-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 2 of Major League Baseball's World Series in St. Petersburg, Florida, October 23, 2008. The Rays' victory evens the best-of-seven series at one game apiece.

They could replace Floyd with 21 mini-Ditkas, and we'd still kick their ass tonight.

I've spent the last three days mostly in bed. I slept today away. I'm tired of being sick. Please Joe Blanton give me something to be happy about.

I'm only worried that he'll lose his focus after he gets the big lead tonight.

Offensive explosion tonight, and I'm not talking about Jamie Moyer's tummy troubles.

Are you kidding? Could you imagine the buffet he'll be awarded if he wins tonight? He's going to focus on the yummy food!

you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Has there not been a single lead change during one of these games?

Has Eric Karros suffered a stroke in his lifetime?

So, Kevin Kennedy's claim to fame is he was a MLB manager for 4 years? That's it?
