Brewers @ Phils 2008 NLDS Game 1 Threat

Postby Monkeyboy » Wed Oct 01, 2008 18:14:09

I just woke up. I think I fainted during the 9th.
Agnostic dyslexic insomniacs lay awake all night wondering if there is a Dog.

My favorite question was Ed Barkowitz's idiotic non-question: "Charlie, can you talk about Brad Lidge?" This is the playoffs catfoodbreath and you should not be allowed into a presser.

I mean have some common courtesy you know?

It's not like I was watching some kind of retarded reality show on VH1 about people who were on VH1 reality shows (which is what she seems to enjoy).

Followed on sportsline the first 7.5 innings, listened to Feliz's out and the first 2 outs of the 9th on the radio, and caught the Hart K on TV. A rare playoff game with zero earned runs. Awesome to get this one especially with CC going tomorrow....

Lidge on CSN now

well that was enjoyable - though I'm looking forward to watching the good guys score runs after the 3rd inning.

Lidge really has to be sharper than he's been of late- this is the brewers.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Just back from the game. I wanted to kill Lidge (if he three one more oh-so-predictable 55 foot slider on a 1-2 count I was going to scream), but good win. Keep it rolling tomorrow, and maybe we could get some hits next time.

During the game the game one of the announcers said Cole had retired 17 straight batters. It was only 14, right? Now the front page on ESPN says he retired 17 straight. He has everyone discombobulated.
Do it again!

Cole is so awesome, he can make 14 into 17. Numbers bend to his will.

Not sure why. Durham wasn't going until Chase fell.

Usually I'll humor her by pausing the DVR or something but not today- not during the playoffs. Sorry, toots.

On the way home from a visitation, I listened to the last inning. Had to pull over. Lidge is trying to kill me.
