I'm with PtK on the Boston angle. I'd rather "lose" a trade to a different team than get equal value from the Celts and have Jah turn into a monster up there.

It showed that two terrific, well-coached teams are capable of winning titles, even if they're constructed differently. It happens in all sports: A team wins a championship and everyone is saying that's how to build a team in today's [fill in league name]. Then someone wins with a different formula and the process starts all over.

The one thing you can say for sure about the NBA is you don't win a championship without good defense.

I said, I'm not interested in trading Okafor a back to the basket scoring 7 footer for a college G with average shooting and ball handling and some D. Not yet.

Okafor is insurance on Embiid. And I want equal or greater value to give him up after 53 games. These guys don't grow on trees.

Put it this way would you rather have Festis Ezeli? Andrew Bogut? Trystan Thompson? There are 3 guys who played the 5 in the finals and Okafor has more upside and talent than any of them. Tim Duncan is almost done. There are not many notable traditional centers in the league. EMbiid is a pipe dream. Guys with complicated feet problems at 7 feet in the NBA don't have long careers. If any career.

Ilgauskas.

I don't even know how good of coach's Lue, Kerr or Blatt are tbh. Luke Walton basically didn't have to do anything to replicate what Kerr did and Lue took over a team and won a championship with Lebron as coach.

mostly i just don't trust BC. It seems less feasible by the day to let them play it out on the court this year and let a natural move occur, a moment to strike may arrive at the draft, but I really do like what Oak brought as a rook, dominant ball play, and can only imagine the improvement he'll make with some NBA experience under his belt. He's gonna be a hell of a pro

Even if Embiid never plays a minute Okafor is a horrible fit with Simmons. He gone.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

It's on Jah with how he develops. I hope he loses 20 lbs.

Moore and Cooney are doing a live chat talking Sixers. Looks like a nerdy IT call.

-- J.Murray > Dunn ("can't shoot to save his life", "can't have him and Noel on the court at the same time")
-- Would consider trading for Hield if Murray and Dunn are taken
-- Sixers must consider trading up for Valentine if he falls to 18-20
-- Barnes getting $20M/yr would be a disaster

it's not 1984 anymore. Boston is just a team. regional rivalries that limit your market flexibility is a goonish way of thinking.

I'm going to be at my wife's family's house in Palm Springs. They are going to watch Sixers basketball and Brock Lesner and like it.

I feel like i'm living in a bizzaro world with dunn. He shot 37% from 3 on 3.4 attempts a game.

the way too early thoughts

2017 draft - is it better to hold on to all our 'assets' this year to a> see if anyone isn't able to play at all (embiid) and b> see if someone who isn't a fit might help us take what might be a few top 10 picks and get back into the lottery? (ie if we end up with say the 6 and 9, find out embiid is a player, maybe use noel or jah and a pick to get into the top 3 if there's a stud piece that fits with simmons and joel?
Not everything I think is something I should say.

F the celtics but we come first. If they have the best deal, we do it, no question

It's not like they EVER get free agents.

Both are predicting the Sixers get back into the top 5 (Okafor + the two later picks) to take Murray, and Moore still thinks Cov or Stauskas gets dealt

No national writer or rumor guy thinks the sixers go Murray over Dunn
