I mean, it's not the greatest piece in the world (neither is that future Cleveland first now), but it's still a piece. I'd rather get it than sit on our hands.

In all fairness... There are two good contributors to that site that don't quite contribute enough and a third who just started there who knows his stuff too. As for jake, it looks like cballs job will be safe for the foreseeable future. I knew an insider that worked for a legal firm that handled contracts and stuff for jerry coangelo with both the suns and dbacks. In fairness to jake, until they get signed and sent into the league office, deals would fall through all the time.

Right and the things he has been right on could be as simple as having a source in PCOMrather than the Sixers.

I'd think they could get some of that back through ticket sales and whatnot since Lin is pretty marketable. And we might be able to flip him at the deadline since he can actually play basketball.

Maybe Harris (or Hinkie) didn't think it was worth it, but it seems kind of counter to what they do.

Say Lin brings in an extra 100K in gate receipts every night (the average team makes about 1M in gate receipts per night, and obviously the Sixers are well below average). If he did (and I think it's a high estimate), he'd bring in an extra $2.5 million or so before the deadline. It'd offset some of it, but I can totally see why they'd blanch paying such a high cost for a pick that is virtually guaranteed to be one of the last picks of the first round.
