Bob Cooney @BobCooney76 · 17m
@GabeGfolls @JakePavorsky Broke nothing. Speculation on what's been reported numerous times. May happen, may not

this is kinda amazing but Keith Obermann's back up is even more annoying than him. just talked about Sixers "openly talking about acquiring Amar'e Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin. Get a grip!"

Kid's sticking his neck out there. He's not reporting they're talking about it, which is what has been discussed and reported. He's reporting that it's done pending the Bosh deal. That's a whole different report.

Yeah but if he's wrong it will just go in the pile with all of his other wrong scoops.

And he basically can't be wrong it would seem.

the aggressively tight lipped Hinkie team that has never leaked any of their major moves (except for the one guy that leaks to a 16 year old). nah.

Will we start to see deals announced at midnight or tomorrow morning?

Which makes him the same as every other beat writer in town. I seem to remember a lot of reports about the Sixers offering half their draft for Andrew Wiggins, only to have Woj come out and go "Nah, that never happened."

He can be wrong. If Houston gets Bosh, and trades Lin elsewhere, he's wrong. No doubt about it.

My only thing is I think he's broken enough things correctly (smaller things, like minor signings, workouts, etc) that he deserves the same credit as anybody else in town.

A lot of smaller details. Workouts, d-league stuff. This would be his biggest thing that I can remember.

My point isn't that he's right. I have no idea. I just wouldn't be so quick to blow him off.

He throws so much shit at the wall though and this is something that's been discussed for a while. It's kind of not really worth paying attention to him.

That's fair. I'm the same way, in that I trust some reporters more than I trust others. The Cooney thing was really weird to me though.

He's piggy backing on established reports and taking it a step further. Hell, Zach Lowe said days ago the trade being agreed upon in principle was a matter of if not when.

he just triangulates on stuff that's either likely to happen, vague or easily explainable if it doesn't.

trade deadline stuff:

Jake Pavorsky ‏@JakePavorsky 14s
The more details I'm hearing, the more my head is swirling. Hinkie may end this with a bang.

Gonna keep it real: Knew something was going to happen, was told Turner was out. Had no idea Granger was involved.

Jake Pavorsky @JakePavorsky
Cleveland and Philly are still talking trades for the first overall pick. There are offers on the table currently.

I'm inferring about Cooney but I wouldn't be surprised he's a little peeved a guy is attempting at make a career in his field by being dishonest.

Where's the dishonesty? You think he's just making it up?
