Not sure about Burke in Sacramento. Isaiah Thomas played really well last season and is also young. There probably will be a 2nd guy that ends up starting but I don't see anyone making an impact the first year.
Is the coaching search so quiet because Spurs/Heat assistants figure to be deep in the mix (i.e. front-runners)? As an aside, despite what Hinkie says, they HAVE to have a coach in place before the draft, right? It seems incredible stupid to go into a draft with a decent pick and not know what the coaches plans are. I know that makes for a very short timeline but it really makes no sense to not have a coach in place unless the front office is going to take a "you'll take what we give you" attitude with the new guy, which means we'll be shopping for another coach in two years.

his DX video/report made me a little uneasy. a part of me thinks its a no brainer to gamble on a former top prospect at 11 in a weak draft. and I also think he's somewhat of a safe pick in that he could give you Evan turner type production right away if you played him 20 plus mins. he can definitely rebound
I am just not sure how he fits in the nba or if he has much upside. reminds me of beasley in a lot of ways...a lot of his damage in college was playing in the post as an NCAA 4, but he doesn't have size to pull that off at next level, and also would have below avg athleticism as a wing. also like beasley, he's a black hole once he gets the ball. his 3 pt shooting improved throughout year and he hit a lot of clutch shots, but still kindve a tweener. think he has just as many concerns as the kcps and adamses we've been discussing
