i imagine tactically the eagles couldn't let on that their kicker was hurt when it happened, but after the fumble-6 when they went for 2 instead of the kick, do you think they told WAS what was going on??

Kind of amazing that punters aren't at least cross-trained to be somewhat competent kicking a damn extra point

L. Blount was given 3 straight carries twice, 1Q and 4Q. Both times #Eagles couldn't convert on 3D. Got -1 on 3rd-and-2 and +2 on 3rd-and-3.

I don't like the "big back" thing in general, for short yardage at least. Seems like Blount will be tackled in the backfield on 3rd or 4th and 1 more often than Sproles or Smallwood would fail to find a crack

And/or they're stronger than he is fast

That 3rd and 1 shotgun run with Blount was bad

Blount was averaging 4 YPC in the first half and scored a td (receiving!) from inside the 5. Agree with the criticisms upthread about being slow etc. but he's not a number 1 back, he's the short yardage grinder part of a committee, and Sproles is the screen/change of pace guy but They don't have the middle ground back.

They could probably get Matt Forte for nothing but I'm guessing he's just as toasty as Blount

too lazy to look, but i think that avg was because of 1 carry for 9 yrds. the others were alot of 2s.
