That's kinda weird, youseff. He is certainly not the first person to subvert his personal dislike for a politician in order to get his policies enacted. If it was another context, and you agreed with the politician's policy, your reaction would likely be different.

i think you're being a little kind in labeling this as "personal dislike". He's excusing out and out lying. This can't be normalized to past situations.
