I think dems should focus on re energizing some of the core sections of their own base: young people, minorities, and women. I don't think Howard Dean necessarily does that. It's not that he's bad-- he'd probably be fine. But I think the enthusiasm that we saw at Bernie rallies needs to be tapped into. You have a huge population of disillusioned, overworked young people with student loans and shitty jobs that want someone who really cares about wage stagnation, the environment, universal health care, banking regulation. Dems have an opportunity here to promote some progressives who will appeal to their base and bring back the Obama years turnout

the stupidest part of kaepernick not voting is Cali has so many ballot initiatives that can impact impact minority communities every election. hard to defend him when he displays that kind of stupidity.

No one is saying to cut everyone, just make a few key changes. There is tons of experience and talent in the party that isn't being allowed to flourish because the same people have been around for near decades

Moving beyond the Clintonistas would be a good first step. Their influence and presence in O's cabinet bummed me out a little and then after this debacle, they needs to go away.
