He's going to be one of the first ones that Trump screws.

Paul's gonna pass so many bills through... his influence increased greatly with the win, and he could be well positioned for 2024.

Provided he isn't overthrown.

PS. He'll pass the best bills. The very best.

She loves to travel. We haven't been there. We really like the people we'd go with.

it's going to be infuriating to watch democrats bend over backwards to work with the trump admin "for the good of the country" after the GOP did nothing but obstruct obama for 8 years. at the very least conservatives should be able to admit to themselves now that the GOP obstructionism of the last 8 years was driven largely by racist sentiment, the same sentiment that culminated in a trump presidency

this is already making me so mad. block them. fuck these assholes.

trumps wants to have an infrastructure bill! Dems have tried for years and years. Republicans said no no no! I am sure though the people who voted for him know that though!

What if Trump pushes through bills that give liberals what they wanted all along? Infrastructure bills is a phenomenal example. We already know his political leanings are all over the place, and he's not a traditional conservative. Do they, and should they, oppose him because he is a sexual assaulter?? I have a hard time getting behind that, and I hate Trump.

Plus, it gives them credibility to oppose all the lousy stuff that will inevitably get passed.

i would rather your piece of shit party not have nominated a piece of shit human being. if the republicans obstructed obama on literally every piece of mildly liberal legislation he tried to pass, i have a hard time believing they will all of a sudden be amenable to passing liberal trump bills. right now i think any infrastructure bill trump proposes will be loaded with subsidies for big businesses and earmarks for Defunding Planned Parenthood (TM). i'll believe it when i see it i guess

What if he campaigned on hateful nativist/white nationalist rhetoric, surrounded himself with the furthest right people he could find but then he got elected and decided to be a center-left president?

Small victories:

Adriano Espaillat made history Tuesday night and was elected the first Dominican American, and first formally undocumented immigrant, to the U.S. Congress.

In the overwhelmingly Democratic New York City congressional district, Espaillat won 89 percent of the vote, beating Republican challenger Tony Evans, who snagged 7 percent of the vote in New York's 13th district. Espaillat and Evans received 147,591 and 11,111 votes, respectively.

Espaillat's victory comes after losing two consecutive challenges to unseat longtime incumbent, Democratic congressman Charles Rangel in 2012 and 2014. Changing demographics in district could have fueled his victory Tuesday night.

Make Cabinet Selections Great Again
Of the 47 names on this list we combed from a combination of sources, just two are people of color — Ben Carson and David Clarke.

Just eight are women — Sarah Palin, Pam Bondi, Victoria Lipnic, Jan Brewer, Mary Fallin, Cynthia Lummis, Carol Comer, and Leslie Rutledge. And several of them are being considered for the same four positions: attorney general, secretary of labor, secretary of interior, and Environmental Protection Agency administrator.

I came here tonight, I didn't know what to expect. I seen a lot of people hate me and I didn't know what to feel about that so I guess they didn't like much nothin' either. During this thread, I've seen a lot of changing, the way yous feel about me, and in the way I felt about you. In here, there were two politicians killing each other, but I guess that's better than 20 million. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change!

Of course you pass the infrastructure bill, provide it's not a joke of a bill. You oppose things that merit opposing. I think cballs is more responding to the idea that the Republican obstruction was basically rewarded at the ballot box. people were tired of gridlock and so they gave every branch to the party that created the most gridlock.

And Trump/GOP will get credit for passing things like infrastructure, which they previously opposed. Shameful.

Someone finally explained to him that it's illegal to appoint family members to Cabinet positions. Has been since 1967.
