We need to constantly remind these people that they are really fucking dumb, not let them celebrate this madness and allow it to become the new normal

I can't imagine the GOP taking any lesson from this other than- we have to keep nominating racist candidates and getting the base to turn out (while passing legislation to suppress minority votes). The Trump presidency is entirely on white people, including women.
I get that Hilary was a flawed candidate and that suppressed enthusiasm/turnout. But this presidency is about white America, no one else
I still feel like #$!&@
I think this is right
Also one specific white who deserves a lot of blame is Hilary fucking Clinton who should go down as one of the biggest assholes in political history for not being able to beat this guy with what should have been a demographic advantage, stumping from popular populist dem opponent, lots of active support from beloved incumbent and first lady. I know people are sexist too but Liz warren or some other plausible, non-scandal generating female candidate probably wins easily
Fuck whites who are an embarrassment but also fuck her. Loser

You have a point. I am disappointed in her and her team for not having any idea this was coming. They seemed confident especially in the last few days
I may never fully wrap my head around the fact that Trump meme magic'd his way to the presidency

He doesn't give enough of a fuck about anything to get stressed enough to show the presidential aging effect. It's just another reality TV gig.

Calvinball wrote:Pacino was right.
“Donald Trump tapped into the anger of a declining middle class that is sick and tired of establishment economics, establishment politics and the establishment media. People are tired of working longer hours for lower wages, of seeing decent paying jobs go to China and other low-wage countries, of billionaires not paying any federal income taxes and of not being able to afford a college education for their kids - all while the very rich become much richer.
“To the degree that Mr. Trump is serious about pursuing policies that improve the lives of working families in this country, I and other progressives are prepared to work with him. To the degree that he pursues racist, sexist, xenophobic and anti-environment policies, we will vigorously oppose him.”

Speaking of him, hindsight and all, but he's looking like a really shitty VP pick. Who exactly was going to be invigorated to vote because of him?
