Trump just said in Denver that Jay-Z campaigning for Clinton is demeaning to the political process. :lol:

Republicans hate when people use their rights...

unless it's gun rights, of course.

Here's what happened to Austyn Crites, the man who raised a "Republicans Against Trump" sign & was detained after someone shouted "gun"

No kidding.

I agree that early voting is weird and too inconsistent. Change early voting to more traditional absentee voting, and make it two days, one of which is a day where the majority of Americans don't have to work. I'd like to see Congress to change the law so that it's the First Friday and Saturday in November.

that sounds great for those who work 9-5 and only one job.

We have extremely low voter fraud and the early voting is getting more people involved. I don't see the problem.

There's going to be something wrong with any scenario that whittles it down to a day or two. With the Fr/Sat scenario, we're gonna miss restaurant workers who work 9A-9P on the weekends.

Agree with JH, that providing more time and opportunity for people to vote is a shitty thing. Prefer if just white people could vote too.

I used to be one of those people and it was often 9a to 1a :-D

Yeh, I just don't get the big deal. If it's inconsistent, then make it more consistent if that's somehow a problem. I don't see why it's a problem though. Most things are inconsistent between the states.

If anything, I would think early voting would lower voter fraud because poll workers have more time to examine voting rolls, IDs, etc. When it's on one day, it's complete chaos and there's more opportunity for one side to cheat. Maybe that's why the GOP wants to nix early voting, so they can cheat. Almost everyone caught doing some kind of voter fraud seems to be republican anyway, so it makes sense. {yes, I know early voting raises turnout which tends to help democrats and that's why the GOP doesn't like it.... but, you know, since stupidly accusing one side of voter fraud is all the rage, I figured I would participate!}

I'm not surprised that a Republican wants to cut early voting days. Oh noez, people are voting.

Trump and his son are beating the "it was an assassination attempt" drum on twitter and elsewhere. It is the height of irresponsible... the damage they're doing to the American political process and trust of the people is insane. The Republican base is one of the most misinformed blocks of people anywhere

Giant eyeroll for anyone alluding that JH's political affiliation means he's trying to disenfranchise voters. The GOP may be scumbags when it comes to voting laws, but JH is a Phillies fan, so he's alright, oh wait, I forgot he likes the Giants and the Devils. JERSEY YOU GODDAMN ASSHOLE HOW DARE YOU TRY AND TAKE THE VOTING RIGHTS OF AMERICANS, YOU COWARD, YOU'RE JUST AFRAID OF WHO VOTES EARLY! TYPICAL REPUBLICAN!

I think I see JH's point. Elections are volatile these days, and you don't want, say, a video of Hillary killing puppies coming out the weekend before the election but then you've already voted for her. BUT THE GIANTS? FORGET IT PUPPIES OR NO PUPPIES!!!!!
