Oliver got it woefully, intentionally wrong. Gosh, it was almost as if they weren’t interested in the truth. It’s almost as if they just wanted to do a hatchet job…

Oh, all right. We’ll come clean - John Oliver and his cronies at Time/Warner obviously knew what they were doing….lol! Oliver stated flatly that Jill doesn't understand the policy implications of using quantitative easing to cancel student debt.

Baloney!

Here's the thing: John Oliver's sarcasm overshadows the fact that a Fox News poll this week shows Jill running at 12% among Independents!

There will always be the John Oliver's of the world. His hands are far from clean - he's a millionaire, yet proclaims bailing out students in debt as a wholly unworkable plan. Plus, his employer - Time Warner - is among Hillary's top 10 donors!

that's rough, but most of her supporters think the Illuminati is conspiring specifically against them so I don't think it will turn any of them off.

Chaput dislikes Democrats:
In a speech delivered this past Wednesday (Oct. 19) at the University of Notre Dame, Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput also suggested that many prominent Catholics are so weak in their faith that they ought to leave the church.

Chaput singled out Democrats such as Vice President Joe Biden and vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine for special criticism, linking them to the concept of a “silent apostasy” coined by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and saying Catholics who do not champion the truth of church teaching are “cowards.”

“Obviously we need to do everything we can to bring tepid Catholics back to active life in the church,” Chaput told a symposium for bishops and their staff members at the South Bend, Ind., campus.

“But we should never be afraid of a smaller, lighter church if her members are also more faithful, more zealous, more missionary and more committed to holiness.

Chaput’s main focus, however, was on the wider threat posed by what he said was a secularizing culture and a progressive political agenda that “bleaches out strong religious convictions in the name of liberal tolerance.”

Too many Catholics are are guilty of cooperating with that process, he said, transferring “our real loyalties and convictions from the old church of our baptism to the new ‘church’ of our ambitions and appetites.”

He named Biden, Kaine and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as prime examples of this phenomenon, as well as Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, a Catholic and Republican appointee whose deciding vote in the landmark 2015 gay marriage case made him anathema to many social conservatives.

He said that despite his “long list of concerns with the content of Islam” he admired Muslim women who proudly wear the hijab and said Catholics could learn from that as they seek to “recover their own sense of distinction from the surrounding secular meltdown.”

Chaput is a jerk who was brought in to prevent PA from enacting legislation where past victims could sue them.

Supreme Court delaying action on some cases because they know they'll be deadlocked

good idea: have drumpf read off a numbered list of "policy proposals"

bad idea: not having any policy proposals in his list that are comprehensible

even his weird obsessions are repulsive:

his longstanding obsession with "bleaching"

his newfound obsession with inexplicably equating "oversampling" in polling with voter suppression

Sherrod Brown in bad car accident, but made it out ok. So did his dog. I wonder what would have happened to Mitt's dog if he was in a similar crash.

http://www.bcdemocrat.com/2016/10/22/oh ... -accident/

Brown’s office said air bags in the Jeep deployed and he and his staffer were treated at a Parma hospital for minor injuries and released.

The office said the senator’s dog, Franklin, was in a safety harness in the vehicle and uninjured.

Well, we know for sure his political bone wasn't broken:

Brown credited the Jeep for minimizing the crash, noting it was made with American steel by union workers in Toledo.

Wendy Davis made a good point on MSNBC. She claims that many Democrats in red states like Texas and Georgia typically stay home because they feel their vote won't count but this year she believes because of how close the polls are, that they will turn out.

Lucid polling put out a bunch of polls from the southeast that look completely normal. Their Georgia Presidential poll has Clinton +4. Outlier or maybe it's onto something...

I have been bearish on Trump. I really do not think Texas is in play. Maybe if some other shoe drops with a new scandal pre-election day, but it was 20 points more Republican than the country in 2012. It wouldn't surprise me if he only won by 5 points or whatever, but losing it seems difficult.

First time pollster, doing online work. Interesting to watch, wouldn't put a ton of stock in the toplines, though from press coverage it seems like people polling the state privately have it closer/more Clinton than the public average on RCP, which is mostly IVR garbage.
