Wouldn't surprise me if Trump's Texas total is depressed because of his attitude towards the Bush family.

I think I saw somewhere about 80% of Rs plan to vote for Trump, which is really low--you'd normally expect 90+. But if you also figure a substantial chunk of that 80 is either demoralized or prone to persuasion, then there are reasons to believe polls are understating Hillary's strength.

Of course there is the possibility of the Bradley effect, where many Trump supporters are embarrassed to say they'll vote for Trump, but it seems that at least at the national level, the Bradley effect doesn't really exist. And I suspect it doesn't exist in Texas much anyway. (If anything, I'd guess if there is a Bradley effect in TX, you'd see people embarrassed to say they're voting for HRC.)

I think a husband effect might even be more important. Women might say they are voting Trump in a poll if their husbands are around, but not pull his lever. My Mom has voted R in every Presidential election since 1968, but is firmly #NeverTrump.

It's much better in comparison to non-college educated whites. And it's going to be getting bluer as time goes on, I think.
