He has trouble navigating any mildly trick policy stances.

He couldn't answer a fucking question about who his favorite member of Wu-Tang is.

How many times has he stumbled when the light is bright? He came out of nowhere to rise to be Speaker of the FL House, knocked the sitting governor out of the Senate race, and is just about keeping his head above water in a tough race with an anchor tied to his ankle. He faced more negative attacks in the primary than anyone else in the field. I think he's the best politician in the party at communicating conservative policy to every day ideas. He probably won't ever be president because most people aren't, but he's got as good of a chance as anyone if he can hold on for another two and a half weeks.

The only people who like Rubio are rich donors because they know he'll do whatever they want. Republican voters don't like him.

POTUS seemed to get him about right - except he's not merely willing to be anybody, he's capable of being anybody. That makes him more able to survive if not triumph.

If he happens to win, he should think about pulling a Franken/Joni Ernst & just bury himself in filling in potholes for several years. He's under-accomplished, and overexposed.

EDIT: I mean, it's not like anyone's gonna start loving Ted Cruz, Christie will be in prison/on probation/is finished anyway, everyone else is nobody else, etc

two of the 20th biggest public conversation gaffes in American political history of the last 20 years have involved Rubio. not a great ratio. he's got talent but they may have Dom Browned him and exposed and ruined him before he's ready.

for the record, though, I think you'd have to have Marco as the favorite for the 2020 nominee, though, right? contrast the old versus the young would resonate with folks, I think. Hillary would murder him in debates, though.

He's another dud.

The tootsie-pop-headed Mormon guy is actually a comer as well. Needs to grow an effective head of hair though. He looks a bit too much like he's a character out of a Spielberg space opera

I think Pence is more likely to win nomination, but Rubio would have a better shot at actually winning, making him the most likely Republican to become President. A lot can happen in 4-8 years, though. I mean, I'll be eligible.

Scott Walker, who I like a lot/considered supporting initially/had as the fav for the nomination in January of last year, demonstrated he truly was not up to the level needed to run as a national candidate. Maybe he can fix that over the next few years, but I'm skeptical.

Speaking Monday to Philadelphia’s WPHT-AM radio in an interview promoting fellow Republican Sen. Pat Toomey, McCain made it clear for the first time that Republicans will continue to block anyone the next president nominates to the Supreme Court as well as the last one: “I promise you that we will be united against any Supreme Court nominee that Hillary Clinton, if she were president, would put up,” McCain said.
