I refuse to believe a person exists named Senator flake, at least outside a Pynchon novel.

You can call him Floyd

Really brings a tear to my eye that over the past 72 hours we've had sustained cries from the left about media bias and MSNBC unskewing the CNN poll.

Well I'm pretty sure the AG thing has been out for a while. Unless there's now another AG that he bribed related to Trump U, which is definitely believable.

Dallas Morning News not only doesn't endorse drumpf, they DO endorse HRC

If you're tracking markers of drumpf's fundamental shittiness as an organism, let alone a political candidate, make an entry in your list

the latter is incredibly silly and i was annoyed to see them using the 2012 race as though it were the exact same, the former seems fairly obvious and i've posted about it here. you disagree with that (and housh did as well), but i don't think it's wrong to point out when the NY Times or AP or whoever seems to be bending over backwards to find issues where there aren't any.

edit: last night, for whatever reason, someone was wrong on the internet so i went back and forth with someone who was insisting that 75% of the country was liberal because there was 25% democrat and 50% independent and thus Sanders (the primary!) would be winning by at least 20% right now unlike right-winger HRC...i was blocked and subsequently outed as a paid twitter troll to his 5k+ followers. serves me right.

If she didn't want the consequences perhaps she should have refrained from calling Trump for a donation right after her department started considering an investigation into Trump U and then nixing the investigation 4 days after receiving the check. I'm sure it was all just a coincidence, though.

The Times is leading with the story today after having never mentioned it before.

In the 1980s, Mr. Trump was compelled to testify under oath before New York State officials after he directed tens of thousands of dollars to the president of the New York City Council through myriad subsidiary companies to evade contribution limits. In the 1990s, the Federal Election Commission fined Mr. Trump for exceeding the annual limit on campaign contributions by $47,050, the largest violation in a single year. And in 2000, the New York State lobbying commission imposed a $250,000 fine for Mr. Trump’s failing to disclose the full extent of his lobbying of state legislators.

In recent years, Mr. Trump has made tens of thousands of dollars in contributions to at least four state attorneys general — Ms. Bondi of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas, both Republicans, and the Democrats Eric Schneiderman of New York and Kamala Harris of California — whose offices have looked into complaints about Trump University.

Shame Chuck Todd didn't ask him how felt about Trump's reactions to a gold star family, given a Purple Heart, and saying McCain isn't a hero

I saw a couple of these, and they were not good. Most walked away from comments about McCain, previous comments, etc. Essentially it comes down to not likeing/hating HRC.

Roger Ailes hired Charles Harder, the lawyer Peter Thiel used to sue Gawker out of existence. He's going to deploy him against New York Magazine, which has the best reporter (Roger Sherman) on the Ailes beat and gets scoop after scoop about him.

people suing media outlets because of a vendetta?! who'da thunk it

President Obama visited Laos:
“For the people of Laos, war was also something that was not contained to a battlefield,” Obama said, delivering remarks at a service center for people who have prosthetic limbs. “For the people of Laos, the war did not end when the bombs stopped falling. Eighty million cluster munitions did not explode. They were spread across farmlands, jungles, villages, rivers.”

When Obama took office in 2009, the United States was spending $3 million each year to clean up the unexploded ordnance, known as UXO. Though funding has increased to $15 million in 2016, Obama announced Tuesday he is doubling annual funding to $90 million over the next three years.

“Our hope is that this funding can mark a decisive step forward in the work of rolling back the danger of UXO –- clearing bombs, supporting survivors, and advancing a better future for the people of Laos,” Obama said. “As President of the United States, I believe that we have a profound moral and humanitarian obligation to support this work.”
