Make America Eat Your Face Off Again:
The Florida 19-year-old who stabbed a couple to death and was biting off parts of the man’s face when police arrived was a Trump supporter.

The Palm Beach Post reported that when Austin Kelly Harrouff’s mother called 911 to report her son missing, she told the dispatcher that he was talking about being “immortal” and “a superhero” on a mission to save people.

Mina Harrouff described what her son was wearing as white shorts, a blue polo shirt and a red “Make America Great Again” hat from the Trump 2016 campaign. She told the dispatcher he believed he was carrying a pocket knife, but, “I think that is all he has on him.”

CONWAY: Those comments are for all Americans. And I live in a white community. I'm white. I was very moved by his comment. In other words, he is trying to tell Americans that we can do better. And the thing that he said that I think got a great deal of resonance is that maybe Hillary Clinton looks at you as voters as your -- takes you for granted. I look at you as people.

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing the burnishing of kellyanne's reputation as a master strategist/communicator wunderkinder among r "leadership" is and long has been the focal point of every waking moment of every day of Kellyanne's existence

The Pivot (tm) is designed to make Republicans feel better about Trump, not by changing any policy ideas (he has none except for standard Republican talking points on economics and hating non-white people), but by changing the image. They don't want to vote for someone who'says what many are thinking' because that LOOKS bad. For example:
Onstage, Trump Sheds Ego, Lays Off Media, Hones New Role Byron York, Examine

Byron is turning the corner!

If you can believe that. They are clearly doctored to cover up her many ailments. She lies and then the biased media and Obama government cover it up.

FInally finished the NYTimes' Fractured Lands piece on how the modern Middle East got the way it is.

I'm with the Libyan(?) quoted at the very end: I'm ready for a new kind of uncertainty.

my takeaway: the Secret Service needs to upgrade its personnel screening practices. Bigly.

Article about a 12 year old running Trump field ops in a huge suburban Denver county. The article is slightly charming/uplifting about getting kids involved in politics maybe, though mostly pathetic given how important the county is in Colorado politics.

Then add in a new twist this kid was threatening Colorado delegates before the convention, and the story becomes even more amazing.

This series of tweets - https://twitter.com/onlxn/status/767766616457220097 - had me laughing, this one below in particular.

Owen Ellickson ‏@onlxn
TRUMP: What's our turnout plan?
12YO: I call people & tell 'em vote Trump or I'll twist their dick off.
TRUMP: I just think that's so smart
