Yea. I would have never known what a mocha was, nor would I have gone out of my way to figure it out. I do like to sometimes melt dark chocolate in my coffee, not sure if there's a name for that either.

not be a dick hipster trendy guy, but there's a lot of good non-weird ways to enjoy coffee that isn't just black or with cream and sugar. i drink 99% of my coffee straight black, but i also love a latte(coffee with steamed milk, so good on a cold day) or mocha(chocolate syrup + coffee + steamed milk) from time to time. this time of year, i even enjoy iced mochas or lattes. you do get some coffee-related beverages that are more sugar than coffee, sure, but for the most part a lot of the specialty varieties of coffee are pretty normal and actually quite good from time to time.

only time I don't take my coffee black is the occasional iced coffee and cream or caffe breve

I didn't start drinking coffee until my senior year of college, and it was more for utility and not taste so I would get giant black iced coffees at Dunkin Donut on College Ave using the 24/7 wifi to write about some random Poli Sci or History topic (Armenian Genocide? That's like not even recognized, man).

I'm usually resistant to change, and I've grown to really like my coffee black, so I don't really venture out - though I am totally basic and will drink PSL for days.

i didn't start drinking coffee until 4 years ago when my lovely weather job stuck me on night shift and i really needed the caffeine to stay awake. i mostly started with lots of cream and sugar but gradually migrated toward pure black coffee. along the way i tried many coffee beverages to see what i liked.

try a latte, i bet you'd like it. also, espresso(i incorrectly said mochas and lattes were made with coffee instead of espresso, i'm v sorry coffee gods) can give you that fun cracked-out, super hyper coffee newbie feeling for when you need that extra pick-me-up.

a friend of mine was in San Fran last week and brought back some Cherrywood Smoked Sea Salt from a spice shop. Sprinkled it on some chicken potatoes and greens. dannkkk
