ReadingPhilly wrote:went to a going away brunch for my gf's friend. got there at 11:30, place wasn't overly full, there's about 15-20 of us. order a coke and a drink for my gf. get mine right away, but about 10 minutes later still no other drink. i ask the server and she says yeah she punched it in. ok, but maybe check it out and bring it to us. 10 mins later we get it. they had a $20 buffet and a limited menu. gf gets the buffet and i get chicken and waffle sliders. about 30 mins goes by, no food. other girl at our table hadn't gotten hers either and a girl at the next table didn't either. apparently there were a few others as well. i ask the server and she says she'll check on it. comes back and says it is in. meanwhile a few of the others get theirs. still nothing for our table. i ask another server about 20 mins later and she says she'll check it out. nothing doing. finally tracked someone down and said we'll just take our check, but please make sure you remove my meal that i didn't get. i don't get angry about things like this as it was mostly just annoying but also comical. manager actually came over to talk to me and said the server probably forgot to punch it in originally and she was new and didn't want admit she was the one that fucked up. so her solution was to just never bring us our food i guess. the manager just ripped our bill so it was probably worth it in the end.

That's pretty much the only way I go to the beach here. Between that and fishing, the truck is probably on the beach 170 days a year. The permit cost $165 a year and it's worth every penny.
