You can't really nail anything down because these people can change their minds right up until the ballots are cast in Cleveland, but the Cruz and #NeverTrump people are both pretty professional compared to Trump's folks or other media generated lists.

i can vote for 8 delegates, but there's only 6 committed to bernie (and 7 to hillary). Should i only vote 6???

I should add to this that Cruz's list is framed as people he is recommending people back, so they might not be supporters of his. If they couldn't find 3 Cruz people in a district, I imagine they talked to the rest and got a sense of who was least likely to vote for Trump on the first ballot and then recommended them.
