You are going to be one of the few remaining who are shocked when Trump wins the nomination with a plurality huh?

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said Saturday that it was getting difficult to keep his promise to support whoever is ultimately the GOP nominee.

"I still at this moment continue to intend to support the Republican nominee but it's getting harder every day," Rubio said.

Rubio's comments came after rival Donald Trump's rally in Chicago was cancelled when thousands of protesters were in attendance.

The entire press conference that is from was really good.

Ok, he sounds good there, but at the end of the day, he still plans to support Trump. The rest is just posturing and saving face. How is he not every bit the coward of Kasich?

I think the thing that annoys me the most is how GOP nominees and supporters who are anti-Trump are acting like they are surprised and are now blaming the media for Trump's rise. This extends to you too, JH. I'm sorry, but 5-7 years ago you were very difficult to argue with. Most times you made me look stupid and you did make me think about my positions. But as the GOP moved farther and farther to the right to stop that horrible black man in the oval office, using lie after lie to attack him to the point that it was clear that the truth didn't matter, their/your arguments became more and more strained. But that didn't keep you from being a good company man and continuing to support a party that was clearly using Obama's race to fan hatred for him. You don't get to now be appalled at what you helped create. You have to own it. If something really bad happens here, you're partly responsible because you didn't do anything to stop it. Blaming the media or Kasich or democrats is just passing the buck. Anyone who kept moving to the right with these clowns without completely denouncing them is partly responsible.

Fantastic post.

If he's around the 42% of delegates he's currently at? Yeah, I'd also be surprised.

But won't that change with the WTA states coming up? Isn't that the way the Pubs designed it: The early leader has a clearer path to the nomination because of the later WTA states?

Yes and No I guess. About 55% of the remaining delegates are WTA and the two largest probably OH and FL. And that's even misleading because states like Missouri are technically WTA but won't be because no one will hit 50%. About 300/720 WTA delegates (MO included) will be assigned on Tuesday so the majority after this date will be proportional or winner take most.

Basically if Trump wins OH and FL and has big days in MO/IL then you can start writing everyone's obituary. If he takes only FL and Cruz is the top getter in MO and IL is pretty even then I think we're headed to a contested convention.

Edit: I guess you can win everything in MO by taking every district and not hitting 50% also. Too many goddamn rules to keep track of.

If I had to guess I think Trump takes FL and NC. Cruz MO. Kasich OH. Trump slight victory in IL. Rubio drops. The shitshow continues.

saw an article about the Obama girls being flirty with Ryan Reynolds (when he was at the state dinner), the pic with the article was adorable

it's a fluff piece for sure, but funny how Malia was giving her sis the thumbs up

then I made the mistake of clicking the comments section...

dear lord where do all of these racist assholes come from?! Calling them ugly monkey children and commenting on anyone who said that the girls looked beautiful was met with accusations of them being child molesters. The comments section has always been a bastion of ugliness but lately everything is going way over the top. Trump has brought these fools out of the shadows.

So Trump is a very public, profoundly ignorant douche to the president for years. Then Obama makes fun of him at an event that's designed for the president to make jokes. Because of that, it's Obama's fault that Trump hates Mexicans and Muslims while right wingers are totally behind that.

Cool story.

We're going to miss the Obamas. Putting aside one's political views they are a class act. No scandals in the administration, genuinely good people. In the face of withering criticism and downright racism they brought dignity and grace to the WH.

They should act more mature. They're representing the entire country and their slutty behavior is a national embarrassment.
