Yeah, I shouldn't post 10 minutes after I wake up. My bad. I still think it's a dumb reason to dislike her. Everyone lies.

WIFE: Honey, have you ever cheated on me?
HUSBAND: Well, I've always tied to be faithful.

Call me old fashioned but I kinda think trustworthiness is right at/near the top of the list of personal characteristics I would like my president to exude. And what sucks is that I fully expect that she is going to end up getting my vote in November thanks to the steaming shit pile the GOP has going against her (and Sanders).

I don't think it's reasonable to expect that a former secretary of state has always been honest with the public. The fact that she didn't just lie on the spot and say that she never lied is actually a point in my book.

Clinton has serious likability issues. I think if she was more likable, this kind of stuff wouldn't matter much. Even the people who plan to vote for her, myself included, don't like her very much. It's the one thing that worries me about her being the nominee. People will look for a reason to not vote for her. I wonder if that will lead to bad turnout.

Well of course or she wouldn't be leading the polls. But I don't think she'll pull in the undecideds and I also think some of the most liberal dems will stay home and not vote. Sh'e seen as a warhawk and in the pockets of wall street, two things that group doesn't like. She'll need to win over those people and a fair number of undecideds to win, right? I just think she'll have trouble pulling together a coalition.

Here are how I evaluate possible outcomes tonight, from the GOP perspective:

IDEAL:

1. Rubio
2. Trump

Think Rubio still has a shot to pull this out, as Trump has made himself as obnoxious as possible this last week and there seems to be gathering momentum around Rubio, in SC. I'd rate this as the third most likely outcome.

GOOD:

1. Trump
2. Rubio

Polls suggest Donald still has a pretty wide lead, so it's more likely he closes the deal and finishes first. but if Rubio finishes second, the rest of the race will start to order itself. Kasich may hang around, but Bush will have to drop, even if he finishes ahead of Kasich. Cruz, in this scenario, is relegated to fringe status, even if he finishes third (which he probably would in this case). I rate this as the most likely outcome.

ACCEPTABLE:

1. Trump
2. Cruz
3. Rubio

At least Rubio here re-asserts himself as the clear front-runner among establishment candidates. There is still likely significant pressure on Bush to drop out, which I think he does in this case. Even if he doesn't, his support in the Super Tuesday states probably continues to wane. Kasich still hangs around for Super Tuesday, but I don't see him as a significant player in most of the states participating that day. I'd call this the second most likely scenario.

UGH:

1. Trump
2. Cruz
3. Kasich
4. Rubio

At least this would probably still bounce Bush from the race, but it certainly makes things less clear going forward. Fortunately for the GOP, I think this is the least likely scenario and probably has virtually no chance of happening.

DISASTER:

1. Trump
2. Cruz
3. Bush

I don't think Bush can realistically hope to finish higher than third, and even that would be a yuge upset. But if he does, the waters are hopelessly muddied. He won't drop before Super Tuesday, neither will Kasich, and all of a sudden Trump looks like he could have a big day on that day. I think this is not very likely to happen, only slightly more likely than the "Ugh" scenario above, but it is what the GOP fears, to be sure. Fortunately for them, I doubt very much that Jeb Bush is the last second comeback kind of guy. if this were basketball, and he got the ball, he'd look to pass first, and the clock would run out - that's him, in a nut shell.

Of course it's easy to guess which one I'm "rooting" for.

@realDonaldTrump
I wonder if President Obama would have attended the funeral of Justice Scalia if it were held in a Mosque? Very sad that he did not go!

so, TDave, you know with certainty you've never lied?

As SK pointed out, that's a trap question, of the "have you stopped beating your wife, yes or no" variety. Her reply is honest. We all know she's lied. We all know we've all lied. None of us lies the way an asshole like Turnip lies. Making the distinction's pretty easy.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

It's pretty much an a priori truth that people know whether they're lying or not. But it's still a trap question.
