where? I don't see him in the video. I thing the problem was you couldn't hear the chick's voice very well where they were if there was too much applause.

He's there at :31 leaning in to tell Carson to go on stage. Prior to that of course, he's off stage.

Not sure if this is part of the joke, but SNL actually featured this video (or portions, anyway) during Weekend Update last night.

Nope. (only can say that for sure since on SNL they zoomed in and repeated that portion.)

Also you can see he's not wearing a jacket.

Most of the attendees were big donors and other guests of the RNC. Almost none of them Trump fans.

He did it to both Carter and Mondale.

Marco Rubio sounded like a complete jackass in that video. His repetition of the idiotic Obama line helped solidify Christie's attack that he is a robot wrapped in a bubble who hasn't a snowball's chance in hell of surviving outside of his comfort zone. Ted fucking Cruz is going to end up the GOP nominee, isn't he? SMH.

I just hope it's not Kasich, since I think he's the only one that may get a non-insignificant crossover share

You don't know that. Turnip thinks so; he thinks really poorly. Despite his boasts about his intellect, he's a profoundly incurious person, disdains preparation, has no discernable plans for performing any executive function, and is, at best, a simplistic thinker.

He would be a disastrous executive in any organization that actually required one. Fortunately he won't get the opportunity to demonstrate that in the elective office he is theoretically pursuing.

The only way it would have been better is if Christie had offered Rubio a few glasses of water during his robot speech. It reminded me of Rubio's absurd reaction to the state of the union address where he is clearly shitting the bed with terror and has to keep drinking water.

There was a piece in the New York Times over the weekend explaining that Chris Christie has some long-standing beefs with Senator Rubio and for this reason has a sort of gentleman's agreement with the Jeb Bush campaign to do a hatchet job on Rubio for as long as possible.

If this is true, and I am a longstanding Republican donor, I am p-i-s-s-e-d pissed, because if it were to somehow work out on Tuesday that Rubio tanks enough to fall back to the pack of the other "establishment" candidates and Trump and Cruz were to walk away as the two top vote getters, with no clear establishment front runner headed to South Carolina, that could spell some serious trouble for the party. South Carolina is a good state both for Trump's brand of foolishness and Cruz's brand of crazy, and that could leave the party in a real morass heading into Super Tuesday.

Lot of ifs there, I think Rubio does just fine (indeed, I think he wins the NH primary) and goes on to a relatively easy nomination - but a worst-case scenario path is opened up by this "alliance" of Bush and Christie, if it exists.
