Went paint balling today. One of the games was capture the flag. This girl goes for the flag with about 2 minutes left in the game. Poor girl got lit up like a Christmas tree and then fell into a pile of sticks face first. Refs had to end the game there. This is one of those moments I'll remember 5 years from now in the middle of the workday and laugh out loud. Nobody is taking my flag though.

The exwife is probably even worse, she remarried some dude who is apparently abusive or maybe not, she is completely nuts. So anyway, the kids don't have a lot, so my wife and I bought them both those new kindle tablets for Christmas. They opened them tonight and said "this isn't an iPad... I'm not using this. It doesn't even go on YouTube". They are like 9 and 11 years old and I'm #$!&@ furious.

Sounds like how my sister used to act towards gifts. She was just a little brat though but she turned out ok.

That would hurt my feelings. I just buy everyone lots of lottery tickets. I hate buying gifts. I love getting them though.

My siblings and spouses do a secret Santa at this point, so we only have to buy for 1 out of 6 people. Makes it a lot easier to just think hard about getting 1 person a good gift.

This year, I did a little more. In addition to my secret santa, I also ordered/made Christmas Tree ornaments for each of my family members. Each ornament referenced something embarrassing from 20 years ago. On each wrapped ornament, I wrote "To: ?" My Mom and Dad opened each present, and held it up, and everyone knew who it was for. For example:

My Dad never reads books, but for some reason, he always brings an old copy of the Catcher in the Rye on vacation. He's probably read the first chapter a dozen times, but never completed the book. I found the cover of his edition, shrank down a version of it I found online, printed it out, and attached it to a business card wrapped around 2"x1" stack of yellow post it notes. Put a hook on it, and the end result was a mini Catcher in the Rye booklet.

I used a bunch of dollhouse parts for other ornaments. For example, we've teased my sister about spilling root beer on herself at a restaurant when she was 6 years old. I mounted this to a small piece of wood. Big success, highly recommended.

Take back the Kindle tabs and return with two large equal sized wrapped boxes. Tell them you exchanged the Kindle tabs for drones. And when they excitedly open the boxes, two bees fly out.

i just saw someone creeping around my door, i go out to check this out and the dude takes off... i look around to investigate and i see the crime he has committed, he dropped off a telephone book. i thought they stopped dropping these damn things off at your door like around 3 years ago or so. i can honestly say the last time i looked in a telephone book may have been 15 years ago.

Kelly being fired means I lost all interest in the Eagles basically. Phillies and Sixers are "watch from a distance" kinda deal. Hockey is a pretty lukewarm interest for me. I basically have no interest in American sports right now.
