Jokes the guy making sweeping statements about all government everywhere. Okay guy. Keep pretending that you are being persecuted for your noble stance against entrenched liberal zealots.

Putting aside whether or not government is actually inefficient (I'm not sure it is, beyond that's what people say all the time), I had to spend the last 5 minutes laughing over the idea that Trump, the man who brought us Trump Casinos and a variety of other ridiculously expensive and inefficient projects, could somehow cut costs and make government efficient. Honestly, I doubt the guy could remodel his bathroom without being a cool million over budget, which he would then brag about.

Where is the evidence that Trump would be able to run government more efficiently? He wasn't able to do it with his own businesses, but he can do it with government? He can't just come in and cut whatever he wants, it just won't happen, and that assumes he's even capable of it, which history and logic shows he's not.

Realy, I don't get why people think Trump will do these things when he's never done it before with his own businesses. Is his plan to run up a huge debt with lavish spending using public funding and tax breaks, file Chapter 11, and then cut everything? If that's the case, then I think he has some experience.

I'd really love some evidence beyond, "Trump says he will," especially since he seems to be a fountain of lies.

This is a weird coincidence that showed up on my Facebook feed...

http://www.occupydemocrats.com/unearthe ... rie-hated/

with some extra info... Trumps living off the American taxpayer...

According to Kaufman, the document – which has never been published before – showed that “Guthrie’s two-year tenancy in one of Fred Trump’s buildings and his relationship with the real estate mogul of New York’s outer boroughs produced some of Guthrie’s most bitter writings.” Specifically, he wrote about the postwar housing haven Trump built – principally for whites. Guthrie discovered about a year into his lease that Fred Trump was all too willing to embrace the color line in Beach Haven. This discovery fueled lyrics in Guthrie’s songs, such as “Racial Hate at Beach Haven,” “Beach Haven Race Hate,” and “Beach Haven Ain’t My Home:”

We are all familiar with the expression “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” Trump senior was investigated by a U.S. Senate committee in 1954 for profiteering off of public contracts, not the least of which was overestimating his Beach Haven building charges to the tune of $3.7 million. Both Donald and Fred Trump were investigated in 1973 and 1978 by the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Justice Department – the major charge was “racially discriminatory conduct by Trump agents had created a substantial impediment to the full enjoyment of equal opportunity.”

Evidence of the Trumps’ discriminatory conduct came from Trump employees. In 1979, Village Voice reporter Wayne Barrett wrote of Fred and Donald Trump’s real empire:

“According to court records, four superintendents or rental agents confirmed that applications sent to the central [Trump] office for acceptance or rejection were coded by race. Three doormen were told to discourage blacks who came seeking apartments when the manager was out, either by claiming no vacancies or hiking up the rents. A super said he was instructed to send black applicants to the central office but to accept white applications on site. Another rental agent said that Fred Trump had instructed him not to rent to blacks. Further, the agent said Trump wanted to decrease the number of black tenants already in the development by encouraging them to locate housing elsewhere.”

Truth. I'm sickened by these people acting shocked that their years of work have finally come to fruition.

the comment sections represent the Id. if you want to understand the Id of Trump supporters and Brantt, look no further than the white nationalist memes posted beneath his twitter posts. this is one of the most popular comments, repeatedly posted after Trump tweets.

Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

The more messed up this election cycle becomes, the more I think that there could be a third party president. I am not sure who, or how, or if it is too late, but the divisions and disgust make it seem plausible.

I also think that Trump should revive the No Nothing Party if he gets tossed from the GOP ticket. Not only is it fitting, but some of his base arguments match well with that 1850's mindset.

Those dumbass founders (but what do you expect - so many had foreign backgrounds) really screwed us up with all their lax rules and religious freedom compromises. Notice how they had to add a separate amendment, and it actually prevents laws that "respect" religion. How did that even get in there?

While I'ma hatin' on hate groups, another group I'm getting to hate is people who say things like "Mr Sanders is a nice old man, but he's so focused on the economy all the time".

If you're wondering what's happened, as the wise man said, "follow the money", dummies.

Mike Huckabee stopping by our office today.

Since he's pretty much the most loathsome type of republican around I'm going to bust out my sweater vest today

Well his impact on the economy would be minimal so it'd be nice to hear him talk more about the stuff that the executive actually has control over if his campaign has evolved from one that's just bringing up issues to actually trying to win this thing.

Also the way he talks about the economic changes is awkward and occasionally makes him look like he doesn't really understand what his role would be. "Turning for-profit credit rating agencies into non-profit institutions" for example. That's just not something that we can do, politically, logistically or (probably) constitutionally. And yeah, he might actually mean "make an alternative credit rating agency that is non-profit/public and provide incentives to companies to only use that agency" but when he says stuff like that it really gets me worried. If he's gonna be a one trick pony, his one trick should be rock solid.

We're in the middle of nowhere so the big time guys have no real interest/need to campaign here.

And you'd be wrong about the donor part: we've invited every candidate from both parties to stop in.

Iowa is weird. I don't want any politician coming around, let alone inviting them all.

yeah, that's kinda small-bore stuff. Drawing and quartering Jamie Dimon is more tangible, popular, AND can be explained in one sentence!
