Turnip will lose in Iowa, underperform in New Hampshire (those granite blockheads need to be ashamed of giving him so much support), lose South Carolina, then quit the race and accept a job endorsing Hair Club for Men

Saw an interview with a NH Trump supporter. He was all, Trump is the greatest. The final question: "are you going to vote."

A: "I might." (Meaning #%*€ No).

Lol.

Trump's recent speech had him talking about hair spray for several mjnutes. He's just doing a routine. This is all a game to him.

Fuck him and his supporters. Cruz is scarier to me but Trump is an abomination.

It's just a money swindle. Having Armstrong Williams as the actual #1 guy, suspending his campaign to go on a book tour, etc is just about getting money and upping speaking fees.

it's not even about government regulation. it's that people flat out don't care. we are ruining this planet at a disastrous rate and nobody gives a shit.

these natural disasters happen fairly often and they barely register on the news.

well, i recognize when someone is more knowledgeable than me in a certain arena (for those who know me, that means I'm in a constant state of recognition). And JerseyHoya advised me to wait until the turn of the calendar until I think that trump is viable in the R primary. Aside from a random brief bursts (and continual predictions of bursts) about cruz being the guy, it still likes like donald is in the lead.

JH, what's your take at this point?

NOTE: after review, it appears as if my post could possibly construed as snarky sarcasm. please be ensured that it is not. although JH and I have obvious ideological differences, I fully respect his superior knowledge of The System.

At this point, I think it's a bout a lack of alternatives. The two decades+ of pushing ideological purity has come home to roost.I occasionally think Cruz or Rubio will make a run (especially Cruz will sometimes say or do something I think is a good attack point), but they just make too many mistakes and have too long of histories being unlikeable assholes. Trump makes just as many mistakes, but his mistakes are somehow a strong point with the really extreme crowd. That's the scary thing to me and waht makes him dangerous. He's really striking the zeitgeist right now and people are ignoring the obvious flaws. In some cases, the flaws are actually a draw to people. It's weird and I'm not sure I have anyone to compare him to in recent memory. He's a wild card.

There are some similarities to Ross Perot and Pat Buchanan, but the best parallel that I can think of is William Jennings Bryan.

armed Right wing terrorists have taken over a federal wildlife refuge (lol) protesting the federal government

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s three sons and “about 150” militiamen have occupied the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge HQ to protest the pending imprisonment of two Oregon ranchers accused of arson, arguing the federal government has no authority in local cases.
