it'd be great if we had better easily recognizable identifiers for these politicians. like Vitter(crazy right wing nut-job) v Edwards(would have been a Republican in 1990)

They simplify the economy so much that they're basically lying about it. They ignore the fact that people are inherently greedy and a system of small government, as they define it, only allows for greedy people to horde money. They make so many assumptions on their way to their policy that it becomes boiled down, nothing. Some real Econ 101 shit. TP probably loves it.

During the wheat milling process, miniscule lead particles and metal shavings are introduced into the resulting product. It's an unavoidable result of the process. The USDA mandates that such particles and shavings be removed by the mills (I'm sure the FDA also has guidelines). It's an additional process that adds a little cost for the mills. To Rand and the Paulians, it's big government interfering with business, something that the invisible hand of the free market would handle all on it's own.
De-fund the FDA! De-fund the USDA! How dare those evil big government agencies take away a consumer's right to choose between leaded and unleaded bread!
Spending will increase by $112 billion over two years. Next year, both defense and non-defense will get $25 billion more each, while the year after each will get $15 billion. Additionally, $32 billion will go to the "overseas contingency budget," a kind of war-related slush fund that the Pentagon gets to play with.
One of the main expenses: the deal would slow the rollout of scheduled hikes to Medicare premiums.
To pay for the additional spending, the deal would extend the sequester's cuts to Medicare, sell off some of the country's strategic petroleum reserve (even though oil prices are near rock bottom), do more telecommunications spectrum auctions, and change the crop insurance program which provides subsidies for farmers.
The deal will reportedly extend the solvency of the Social Security Disability Insurance program for six years by reallocating funds the Social Security old age trust fund and enacting several small disability reforms.

Mr Perrotin was covering the details of the violence using Twitter, and at around 8pm posted the words: "A demonstrator told me 'I warned the JDL that you’re here Mr Perrotin'."
The journalist has frequently exposed the work of the JDL, who are banned and classed as a terrorist group in both Israel and the USA, where it features on an FBI terror list.
Mr Perrotin was set upon by the gang, some of whom were masked. After being assaulted, Mr Perrotin ran towards police lines, where he was held for his own protection.
"Our aim was to stop demonstrators getting in the building, and threatening people,’ said an officer at the scene. ‘The crowd was pushed to the other side of the road in front of the building, and kept there for the rest of the evening."
Some 150 riot-control officers were deployed in the operation, while others stood by in surrounding streets.
In June last year two JDL members in Paris were found guilty of placing a bomb under the car of an anti-Zionist journalist. They were given prison sentences, but one absconded to Israel.
