The GOP can't even organize and run a debate, but we're supposed to think they can run a country. "Hey, cnbc asked bad questions and tried to set up confrontations," will be the complaint. But it seems to me that the cnbc questions were pretty par for the course for how the GOP approaches elections and confrontation. CNBC just forced them to have to deal with their own style.

Of course, the GOP will say it's all CNBCs fault, but that's just more victimhood from the men with all the money.

My very confused libertarian Bernie loving coworker complained about the questions being confrontational for a half an hour. Then said he likes Ben Carson. What a country.

So it's being trumpeted in conservative land as a Cruz DESTRUCTION OF LIBERAL CNBC.

LIBERAL CNBC. Just had to repeat that.

Ryan invokes Harry Truman in pleading with his colleagues to pray for him. Truman's predecessor had died. Ryan's merely resigned, and is standing in the chamber where he's being likened to a dead man. Underscoring the point, Ryan follows up: "we are wiping the slate (*he should have said slab*) clean"
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

The first two debates were a circus. Last night wasn't nearly as bad. Need some candidates to drop out. Then we might see some real shit.

Paul Ryan might be the least self-aware politician I've seen in a while. And that is saying a lot. I think he actually believes that he is a savior figure for the GOP.

they're still all a dog and pony show. not much real policy was discussed in the Democrat debate, either. kinda sad this is how most people decide how to vote.

No they don't. Most people don't watch the debates. Most people either have already decided, vote whichever way whatever piece of media that they follow tells them to vote, vote on who their church tells them to vote for or vote based on the candidates looks (or some other nonsense).

correct, it's the 10% of undecideds (much of the truly uninformed) that choose the president

The Republican debate was a mess. They need to pare down the field because there are way too many people jockeying for time.

It's probably better for the GOP if people don't get to know their candidates well. The nominee can hide within the crazy until the last minute, then pop out, say just enough crazy stuff to satisfy/energize the base, and call the democrats socialists. It's a perfect plan.

Agreed. About the only thing I got out of watch that train wreck last night was that the field should be four people lighter by Monday morning (Bush, Huckabee, Fiorina, Paul). Honestly, of the GOP candidates I think I like Kasich the best. If he were the nominee, I might vote for him over Hillary.

He's still an incredibly conservative governor and was an incredibly conservative representative; if you wouldn't vote for any other republican for president I don't see what view he holds about governing that is so especially different.
