While we're on the subject of Amazon, ordering men's underwear from them is sort of NSFW. Also, product reviews on men's underwear are rather interesting. People want different things from their underwear.

I recently had a new PC built and it arrived before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately after unpacking and setting it up it appeared the graphics card got damaged during shipping so I had to send it back in to get it swapped out (because it was fresh out of the box and wouldn't boot to Windows they wanted to put it through QC again to make sure nothing else was wrong). I got an email last Friday saying it was received and the repairs done and sent out the same day and it was scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. The box was sitting outside my door (rear of building, 2nd floor entrance) when I got home from work yesterday. Was a happy surprise, but I'm curious how UPS's estimate could be off by that much. Either way, I have a good UPS guy to lug it up the back stairs and not leave it on the porch out by the street.

I ended up just buying a Dell (dude, you're getting a dell) because I have a credit account with them and the payments are low. It gets what I want done (plays Blizzard games a lot better than my mid-2000s computer), has an i5, and I can always upgrade the video card later (it has a shitty Nvidia in it, a GeForce 730).
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

where did it come from? Was the estimate from UPS or the computer company? I wonder if UPS hedges their estimates during the holiday rush. You can check out their standard service map here.

I went cheap with my last one, bought a $350 Gateway off the shelf at a Best Buy. That was just after the i-series processors were released and Windows 7 was the new hotness. It had an i3 and 6 gigs of ram, so I said good enough. Put a $60 graphics card in it at purchase and a $75 upgrade one last year. Been using it more and more recently, including shifting my gaming away from console to Steam, so I figured it was time to invest a bit more in this one. i5-6500, 16gig ram, SSD + HDD for media storage, a modular power supply for cleaner future upgrades and a GTX 970. I spec'd it off the recommended requirements for the HTC Vive since it looks cool as shit and I think we're fast approaching the time VR actually becomes a real thing.

Kids should be playing basketball, baseball, football, ball tag... Something athletic and where there is a chance of getting injured. We are raising our kids today to be a bunch of pussies playing bocce ball. Back in the day if you didn't get some sort of road rash or head wound, you weren't playing.

You should see the class list for 6th and 7th grade where my gf works. Don't know how they come up with some of them.

Buddy from elementary school (we kind of lost touch after that) named his son Beckham Adin. I'm very happy for him?

I'm still pissed about lawn darts. Taught you to pay attention and to get out of the gaddam way. A lawn dart sticking out of your foot meant you were too slow.
