My Nexus 5X ships out today and I got tickets to the 7pm showing of the Star Wars premiere. Today is starting out very, very good.

Yeah I'm getting it through Fi. I got the 32GB quartz (white) version. I preordered it on 9/30, so my experience would be different than yours. From what I understand, if you order today, it would likely ship by the end of the week. The basic FedEx ground delivery appears to be taking around 2 days (my estimated delivery date is Thursday and that seems to be consistent with others on reddit and Android Central).

Oh, and if you want to order the ice blue color, it sounds like those units are taking a bit longer.

Yeah I just need it here by the weekend or else I'll have to prepay another month on Cricket on the 26th.

Mine was ordered on October 4, estimated delivery October 29 – November 2. I got the black Nexus 5X as part of Project Fi.

I got an Ice Blue coming in a few weeks

For what it's all worth, I am really happy with my iPhone 6s+. It is stable and fast, and works really well. The 3D Touch is really nice, it's not quite a game changer, but I've started to get used to it and when I use my iPad, I do miss it.

Getting a jump on things

Wanted to cry this morning getting ready for work.

Had a doctors appointment this morning, they were having a plumbing problem, the toilet was backed up, and they had some guys there working on it. One guy was using a shop vac to suck up the shit water in the bathroom. Once he filled it up, he was carrying it out through the waiting room and it basically went like this:

did they give him a toothbrush and make him clean it up

oh man.

did everyone just flee?

No, he dropped it in front of the front door to the office. There was no fleeing unless you wanted to run through it. There were only 3 of us in the waiting room, so the receptionist took us all in the back.
