Trying to think of even 1 businessperson I 've ever known who would do as shitty a job as Trump did checking out that "Vets group" he fronted for a few days ago.

Been doing so for a few days.

No luck yet.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

She's having a few good days here. Her response to the Pharmaceutical Company docsmooth posted about in the Healthcare thread was real good.

Chris Matthews forgets he was for the Iraq war on TV and declared it won a few months into it. Also said people who didn't like it were envious. He called critics of the Iraq War complainers.

12 years later he shouts down Jorge Ramos on Bill Maher as though he forcefully opposed it.

Are you allowed to retroactively oppose a war?

Well that's about 99% of those claiming so.

but they don't include Larry Lessig, an actual candidate who actually stated he was actually running. OK.

VW was basically gaming emissions testing(which is apparently done by the automakers- ffs!) for 8 years.

I bought the 2011 Jetta TDI and have loved every minute. Now, it's like I'm driving a fraud and f'in up the environment.

It's crazy how VW is just saying "yeah, we did it on purpose". The resale value of my car is lower than Kiko Alonso's trade value right now. From what I'm reading "the fix" will make it slower and have worst gas mileage.

based on the fine that is able to be levied it seems like they could go out of business.

Diesel and VW’s reputation for German engineering were cornerstones of Winterkorn’s effort to catch up in the U.S. market. The violations, which affect nearly half a million vehicles, could result in as much as $18 billion in fines, based on the cost per violation and the number of cars. Criminal prosecution is also possible.

you might wish you had a Chevy Nova instead.

On the open road, the Jetta exceeded the U.S. nitrogen oxide emissions standard by 15 to 35 times. The Passat was 5 to 20 times the standard.

they truly DGAF. and why are we still not testing in actual road tests?

VW won't go out of business unless a similar thing is discovered in Europe (France and Germany are apparently calling for investigations).
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

You would know more than me about how that works. Seems like an awfully high fine. Their stock has lost 20% already...wonder how it tumbles today.

Europe is much less strict with emissions so they most likely wouldn't have needed to.
