Mostly I just hated his character in TNG. I kinda get why they threw him in there, they wanted to get a new generation of people hooked on the show. So, in order to accomplish that, you throw in this young boy genius who can be relatable...or something.

I am not an Eagles fan but to accuse a guy like Kelly of that is sickening. That's one of the worst things you can do to someone. Seems easy to throw around when it comes to him. More likely he wants his best team out there than he hates blacks. Now he is an easy target for guys he gets rid of when they are black. It needs to end. He isn't freaking racist.

The defense of Chip is more disgusting than 3 players finding him awkward around black players and sharing that when asked why Chip got rid of them.

Chip obviously is callous in a way that he sees all of his players a replaceable and I'm sure it's not great to play for a coach like that.

Old pal Barry Jive put it best when he tweeted something like "Chip's probably inherently a little racist like most white people". I'd add that might also be true given his age and where's he's mostly lived (Very White Places) as adding to a subconscious bias.

Getting all mad because Boykin said he found Chip awkward around young black players doesn't make much sense to me.
