Don't think he's really helped or hurt anyone in particular at this point other than allowing Perry a nice platform to swing at him and raise his profile. Still six months away from Iowa. The day to day stuff doesn't have much staying power. Who Trump is taking votes from in the polls mostly only matters if he stays in long enough to receive votes.

Its going to be interesting if Scott Walker stays one of the top three candidates. I think labor may actually contribute big money to try to make sure he doesn't make it out of the early primaries.

His campaign says he made over $200 mil over 14 years doing the Apprentice, and even if that's exaggerated, I'm not sure what new venture of his would be likely to do better. He was averaging $250k in his speaking gigs last year according to his personal financial disclosure.

The Times did not cover itself in glory, although the confusion may have come partially from DoJ itself, which initially confirmed the criminal inquiry reports only to later retract. It seems the referral about potential mishandling of classified info from the IG is not criminal in nature, and it will be up to DoJ in how to proceed.

One thing that seems clear is Hillary's claim from March when the story first broke - “I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email,” Mrs. Clinton said at a news conference on Tuesday at the United Nations. “I’m certainly well aware of the classification requirements and did not send classified material.” - is a lie. One person to whom this is not yet clear to is Hillary, who is continuing to claim that she sent nothing classified at the time, contradicting the Inspector General report.

I think it's an ego trip, as with most things he does. I didn't think he'd get in to begin with, and I've got no feel for how serious he is about staying in the race. I was just objecting because it seemed like you were joining with the 'he's doing it to make money' group from the previous page, and I don't think he is. Or if that was his initial goal he seems to be failing badly in that endeavor.

I think it's an ego trip, as with most things he does. I didn't think he'd get in to begin with, and I've got no feel for how serious he is about staying in the race. I was just objecting because it seemed like you were joining with the 'he's doing it to make money' group from the previous page, and I don't think he is. What makes the most sense is that he's doing this to help Hillary. He's attacking all the legitimate Republican candidates and saying obnoxious shit that will ensure ethnic people of all hues continue to stay away from the Republican Party in droves.
