This town sometimes:

Friend of mine is taking a group tennis lesson and is helping gather up the balls after a drill by carrying them on the face of her racket. Another woman in the group comments, "You do that so well. You must have been a waitress."

Then gasps and literally covers her mouth, appalled of what she just implied, "Oh, I'm so sorry!"
"No woman can call herself free who does not control her own body."

Every time I have ever had a picture in the paper for playing sports it looks like I was doing something dirty like trying to take out someone's legs on a slide. I forgot about those pics until my dad started sending them to me this morning.

There's nothing wrong with it, and I'd just assume most women have waitressed at some time in their lives (including my friend, who had worked as one as her twenties). And this wasn't at some country club, it was on the public courts where everyone had paid $60 to the adult school for six lessons. It is kind of a tony, historic town in South Jersey with many , but certainly not all, wealthy people. I think her unnecessary embarrassment was pretty funny.

At least until I explained it.

second time i mowed this season, the mower seemed to lack power. just took it out for the third time and didn't get very far before it bogged down. thinking it might be time for a new battery (this will be its fourth season). Went back to top off the battery while I order a new one. The charger wasn't plugged into the outlet. :oops:
