If you want open spaces and sunlight, don't live in dense urban areas. Or in places with lots of trees. Conversely, if you want paved roads and municipal services, don't live in the country. Life is about trade offs, and you can't have everything.

Can't go wrong with a dog(or 3) named Max.

Dog I grew up with was also a Jack Russell, I named him Hoss because he was so little that it seemed funny. He wasn't that big but the name worked for him in a weird way. Smartest dog I've ever seen. He learned every trick in about 5 or 10 minutes.

Siberian Husky is on the list once there is a bigger yard in play.
