I used to think that, but getting older and having kids changed my priorities. My Prius is a boring car to drive (unless you treat getting high MPG like a game) but I don't care. It's safe and efficient. 99% of my driving is such that a higher-performance car wouldn't get me there any faster anyway.

I have absolutely no interest in cars or performance. When something is described as "fun to drive" I honestly have no idea what they're talking about. The main reason I would go to manual would be for the MPG.

Had a root canal this morning and the most painful part was the needle into the inner gum. Pretty underwhelming after all the horror stories I've heard and read

Our town did away with it a few years ago. Was right down the street too, so they waited until I moved out.

This was me, also. DC traffic also influenced my decision to buy an automatic.

I can dig it. Had a couple of them. No sweat. I was pretty anxious before the first one. But it was nothing.

I think you're near me so are you talking bout the Rose Tree Fire dept? Cause that siren wakes me and my kids up frequently. I'll sign your petition.

Car had to be towed yesterday. End of an era. New house and car in the same three month period.

Yup. I just put a hold on a Subaru Outback yesterday.

My last two cars have been a Toyota Camry and a Ford Edge. Got the Edge from my uncle's dealership (can't beat the family pricing) once we had kids, but it hasn't been a great vehicle.
