Being polite is the way to go most of the time. Those folks have a tough job. Putting up with pissed off people all day. I try to remember to thank them and all that jive. Calling Comcast/Xfinity doesn't apply.

the bar that i've frequented the most over the last 14 years is moving, from just down the road from my firehouse to a few miles away in conshohocken. i love the staff, the patrons, the owners. but it's always wanted to be a restaurant that had a bar, instead of a bar that had food. So no matter how many folks were drinking a midnite on a weeknight, they'd call last call. usualy 12:30-1 on weekends. Always been a sore spot with me.
So tonight was the last night in the 'old' location. Pretty noteworthy event I would think. So there were a lot of regulars there all night. Come 12:30, there's about 20 people at the bar, and they call last call. I really thought they were joking until I was handed my check. I welcome my crowd's forced move to the next option (which I've personally always preferred) which has always been run as a bar with food, and 7 days a week keeps the lights on until 2 if there's as much as one customer on a stool.

I only ever had one "main" bar and I am surprised they have never been in trouble for keeping the doors open and beers coming too long. That sounds like a pretty cold place actually.
