I have a friend who does the job Kathy does and she says it's horrible for the reason you mentioned.
Being polite is the way to go most of the time. Those folks have a tough job. Putting up with pissed off people all day. I try to remember to thank them and all that jive. Calling Comcast/Xfinity doesn't apply.
