I offhandedly, and assholishly, compared our new short, slightly thick receptionist and her low center of gravity to Natrone Means, which kicked off a game of comparing coworkers to NFL players. It's a really fun, dickish way to waste some time with coworkers. Recommended.

Having never experienced anything like this before, I was immediately self-diagnosing everything from Ebola to meningitis so I definitely went to the doctor, who came up with the vertigo diagnosis, after checking my ears and my eye tracking and my response to suddenly going from a lying to an upright position. She said that my Eustachian tubes were clogged and that drinking plenty of water and avoiding salt would clear it up. I'm much better today after following her advice.

Seriously unnerving experience, though; turning my head made my vision go crazy so walking was an adventure.

Pretty remarkable fall from grace for my sporting allegiances over the past few years. The Nets moved to Brooklyn and traded for Garnett and Pierce so I don't root for them anymore. I guess they sucked to start with though. The Devils made the cup finals two seasons ago and are completely fucking awful now and will remain so for the foreseeable future. The Giants won a Super Bowl 34 months ago and blew a 21 point lead to Jacksonville on Sunday. Many pixels on these pages have been spent discussing the Phillies. I have spent more time and energy thinking about my teams losing for draft purposes than winning over the past year or two. Beyond that Liverpool are pretty awful to watch. The Big East imploded so I'm left with trying to pretend I care about Georgetown playing Butler. Mickelson is getting old. The USMNT has been awful since the World Cup. I suppose the few years before the last few years were better than I had any right to get used to, but this is pretty annoying.

Next time you roast a bird, save the fat that melts into the pan. I do love eggs cooked in bacon grease, but even better -- eggs cooked in chicken fat.

In your lifetime you've seen 4 super bowls, a WS, an extended run of dominance from the Devils and a CL final. Things could be worse.

Oddly, I was having a similar thought to JH recently, though I really don't follow sports as much as he does.

Yes, a deal breaker. I once dated a girl who was very cool, just unbelievably cute and had really big boobs. When I finally got around to being able to play with them, though, they turned out to be floppy and had no substance to them. The relationship was doomed from there.

It doesn't matter how cute she is if her boobs suck. Conversely, it doesn't matter how nice her boobs are if she isn't cute. Of course, personality goes a long way to correcting both of the above situations.
